High School:  Field attended Campbell High School where she also played softball, lacrosse and basketball. At Campbell HS, she won Offensive Player of the Year  (freshman year), Most Valuable Player (junior and senior year), All-County Honorable Mention (freshman year) and All-County 2nd Team (senior year).

Personal: Maya is the daughter of Pilar Watkins…chose Paine because it wasn't too close or too far from home and it was the first school to show and keep interest.

What person has been the most inspirational to you and why? My mommy, Pilar Watkins, she shows me what true and real strength is. She has always been there for me through thick and thin, my biggest supporter. Everything I do, I do for her because she deserves the world. It's always been us and it's always only going to be just us. Ride or Die.

What is best advice you have received? If you have DISCIPLINE, DRIVE, AND DETERMINATION, nothing is impossible. You are your biggest competition always be better than the person you were the day before.

What advice would you give to a young student-athlete? If you don't go after what you want you'll never have it. If you never ask then the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.
