Augusta, Ga. (Volleyball)—
Kayla Lewis and
Lydia Elmore both led the Lady Lions with 7 kills in the loss to conference foe Albany State University. The match was the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) opener for both teams. With the loss, Paine falls to 2-2 (0-1 Conference), while ASU improves to 2-4 (1-0 Conference) overall.
The Lady Lions jumped to an early lead in the first set but couldn't hold it, falling to 25-21. The team made a strong comeback in the second game, but the Lady Rams negated it to win 25-22. Albany State University took the third and final contest 25-19.
The Lady Lions next contest is away against Allen University. The Lady Lions will face the Yellow Jackets on Monday, September 19
th at 7:00PM in Columbia, SC.
