FORT VALLEY, Ga. - The Lady Lions suffered a tough overtime lose to Fort Valley State, 94-87, on Monday evening at the HPE Complex in Fort Valley, Georgia.
Paine's record drops to (7-10, 4-5 SIAC) while FVSU improves to (5-9, 4-2 SIAC).
After leading by as many as seven points (80-73) with just 2:06 remaining in the fourth period, Paine could not withstand a ferocious Lady Wildcat comeback and allowed Fort Valley to force overtime. In the extra period FVSU was too much for the Lady Lions as they would outscore PC 14-7 on their way to the eastern division victory.

Tania Ward who finished with a team-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting. In foul trouble most of the night, PC standout
Janisha Wilkerson finished with 11 points, six boards and a game-high six blocks. Simiria Huggins came off the bench to score 15 points and six rebounds.
The Lady Lions shot 47.0(31-of-66) percent for the game while blocking 10 FVSU shots. The Lady Wildcats notorious press forced 25 Paine turnovers on the night.
Fort Valley was led by four players in double figures. Shekiya Tarpkins led FVSU with a game-high's 25 points and 14 rebounds while Daknequa White added 22 points.
The PC women's basketball team doesn't return to the court until January 30th when they travel to Orangeburg, South Carolina to take on the Lady Panthers of Claflin University at 5:30 p.m.
