ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Paine College baseball team didn't fair well in their season opener against Flagler College as they fell 22-0 Friday Evening at Drysdale Field.

Lion Pitchers walked 13 Saints batters and the defense committed three errors as it proved to be the difference as FC scored runs in six out of eight innings in the victory.

Jahziel Morel led Paine at the plate going 2-for-3, while Jaron Johnson and Gabriel Guzman finished with a hit a piece. Evan Krenz (0-1) pitch six innings in the loss, giving up six runs (four earned), striking out two while walking three.

Dylan Jones led Flagler with three hits, two RBI and two runs scored. Cooper Wallace picked up the victory for the Saints throwing six innings of two hit baseball, striking out six while walking one.

Both teams meet again Saturday for a double-header at 1 and 4 p.m. at Drysdale Field.
