FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Paine College men's basketball team fell to Kentucky State in a hard fought game, 76-66, on Saturday evening in Frankfort, Kentucky.
PC falls to 0-8, 0-3 SIAC while KSU improves to 4-5, 1-1 SIAC on the season.
Junior transfer
Keyon Faulkner-Smith (Staten Island, NY) and senior guard
Charles Moore (Conyers, GA) led the Lions with nine points each. Senior center
Deshawndric Nelms (Davenport, FL) chipped in with eight points and three rebounds.
The Thorobreds by Jordan Little who finished with 19 points and Kevin Wharton-Price who had 17 points.

- Paine connected on just 26-of-58 (44.8 percent) from the field, while Kentucky State hit 23-of 54 (42.6 percent)
- The Lions committed 17 turnovers which Kentucky State converted to 19 points.
- PC hit only 10-of-22 from the charity strip while KSU connected on 25-of-32 free throws
- Paine was out-rebounded 28-22 including 11-9 on the offensive glass
- The Thorobreds had a 11-4 advantage on 2nd chance points.

- KSU outscored PC in the second half 48-37
- Newcomer Emeshaun Offord led the Lions with seven second half points
- KSU connected on 22 free-throws in the second half to the Lions eight.
- The Thorobreds were a perfect 10-10 from the charity strip down the stretch.
The Lions return to action this Monday, December 16, as they continue their road trip in Wilberforce, Ohio when they take on Central State University. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
