ROCK HILL, S.C. - The 5E seeded Paine College Lady Lions fell in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament to 1E seeded Benedict College, 82-62, on Wednesday evening in the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center.
Paine was led by junior forward
Keondra Archie (Eastover, S.C.) who finished with a team-high 18 points and six rebounds off the bench. Junior guard
Briona Andrews (Hampton, GA) was the only other double-digit scorer as she finished with 13 points and four boards in the losing effort.
The Lady Tigers were led by Ay'Anna Bey who ended the night with a double-double as she scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Team Stats
- Paine connected on 22-of-52 (42.3 percent) from the field, while the Benedict hit 24-of-59 (40.7 percent).
- PC sank 4-of-16 from behind the arc, while BC made 7-of-23 from three point range
- The Lady Lions bench outscored the Lady Tigers bench 44-32
- Benedict won the battle on the boards 39-27

The Lady Lions finish the season 8-18 overall, but returns an entire team in 2020-2021.
