COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Paine College volleyball team lost a 3-0 contest at Benedict Thursday evening.
The Lady Lions are now 2-16 on the season while the Tigers stand at 9-10.
Set scores were 25-17, 25-11, 25-19.
Daija Broadnax accounted for a team-best six kills in the contest. 
Akirah McCrae totaled four kills while a trio of student-athletes – 
Najla Betts, 
Kennedy Williams and 
Soleil Johnson – had three kills apiece.
Kelsey Williams distributed a team-high 11 assists. 
Myah Beasley chipped in four.
Jordan Fortson garnered a team-high nine digs and also accounted for the squad's lone ace.
At the net, Betts and Broadnax had two solo blocks apiece while McCrae had one solo block. Betts and Broadnax shared match-high honors for their effort.
The Lady Lions return to action Saturday when they host Livingstone at 4 p.m.
