ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Paine College women's basketball team dropped a road match at Claflin Monday evening 111-43.
The Lady Lions are now 0-7 on the season.
Head coach
Kisha Lucette's team was paced by
Adewunmi Atiba and
Myah Beasley as each netted seven points in the contest.
Jada Brooks and
Alexandria Caples added six points apiece while
Ashley Rubio netted five points. Rubio also secured a team-best six boards.
Neani Stewart and
Castella Sherrod chipped in four points apiece while
Deavian Pitt and
Kyra McCrary had two points each. McCrary shared team-high honors with six boards.
Rubio registered the team's lone block in the game.
Caples led everyone with four steals in 14 minutes of action. Rubio registered two thefts in the contest.
The Lady Lions return to action Saturday at Campbellsville Harrodsburg at 1 p.m.
