AUGUSTA, Ga – The Paine College women's basketball team lost a 70-49 contest to Allen Thursday evening.

The Lady Lions fall to 1-10.

Head coach Kisha Lucette's team was led by Jada Brooks' 14 points and six rebounds. Neani Stewart tallied 10 points to go along with three assists and three boards. She also added a pair of steals.

Kyra McCrary and Adewunmi Atiba chipped in six points apiece while Myah Beasley tallied five points. Adewunmi also notched nine boards and two blocks.

Ashley Rubio pulled down 11 rebounds. She also swatted five shots, had three assists and two steals.

For the game, Paine College hit 17-of-60 from the floor. The team pulled down 49 rebounds. The Lady Lions notched 25 points off the bench and registered 12 points on the break.

The Lady Lions return to action Monday when they host Clinton at 2 p.m.
