SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Paine College men's basketball team lost a 98-53 decision at Saint Leo Tuesday evening.
The Lions are now 6-12 on the season.
Paine was led by
Quinnton Jackson's 12 points. He also added four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the game.
Elijah Greer notched 11 points and nine boards, narrowly missing out on a double-double in 27 minutes of work.
Nate Adams chipped in nine points, seven rebounds and swatted a pair of shots.
Calvin Johnson totaled nine points and two thefts while
Jakobe Williams registered a team-high three steals.
The Lions connected on 20-of-67 from the floor (29.9 percent) and made five three-point buckets in the loss. The squad connected on eight-of-10 from the charity stripe.
Paine totaled 26 points in the paint and converted 13 turnovers into 11 points. The 14 offensive rebounds led to 14 second-chance points.
The Lions return to action Saturday when they play at Voorhees at 4 p.m.
