The 2024-2025 outlook for the Paine College Men's Golf Team is bright. Former Assistant Coach Andre Lacey has been promoted to Head Coach and he has brought in Rashad Wilson, PGA to fill the role of Assistant. Both Coach Lacey and Coach Wilson bring years of experience in the golf industry and excellent coaching skills to the budding team.

This season, the team has been focused on physical well-being, mental toughness, and golf fundamentals and have added impressive new recruits in Shamar Wilson, Brett Barwick, Matt Cheira, Justin Walker, Landon Finch, Adam Hudson, and PJ Mukumba. Returners include Baylor Geer, who leads the team in scoring, Andrew Davis, and EJ Mays Jr.

After a solid start to the Fall season, the team has just qualified for the NCCAA National Championship in Palm Coast, FL. The Championship will take place from October 19 – 23. The Lady Lions have also qualified for the Championship, making it the first time in history that Paine College has had both golf teams competing for a National Championship!

In other good news, the Paine College Golf Fundraising Tournament is set for March 17, 2025 at The River Golf Club in North Augusta, SC. The main goal of the fundraiser is to establish a Golf Room on Paine's campus where student athletes and members of the community can come together to learn and grow the game of golf.
