The March 17th fundraising event this year centers around the establishment of a Golf Room on Paine's campus. The vision for the Golf Room is to have a multifunctional space where students, faculty, and community members can come together to learn, practice, and enjoy the game of golf.

Golf is a sport that not only promotes physical well-being & friendly competition – it also teaches important life skills such as discipline, patience, and sportsmanship. The game has certainly gained popularity among the Augusta community, and the Golf Room would allow for that popularity to continue to grow.

Ideally, this room could be equipped with state-of-the-art projection facilities, making it a versatile space for various activities, including:
  • Jr. PGA Programs: Potential to host Jr. PGA, PGA Hope, and GA State Adaptive Golf programs as well as beginner golf initiatives.
  • Small Golf Repair Services: Potential for a small golf repair and customization center, offering services such as club repair & re-gripping.
  • Golf Lessons: The golf teams could offer lessons to the community youth while furthering their own teaching & skill development

This initiative aligns with Paine College's commitment to providing holistic education and fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among our students. The coaching staff is enthusiastic about the positive impact this room could have on the Paine College & Augusta community and they look forward to sharing more as Springtime approaches.

Go Lions!
