AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Paine College women's basketball team lost a 66-50 decision to Voorhees Tuesday evening.
The Lady Lions are now 4-17 on the season.

Kisha Lucette's team was led by
Kyra McCrary's game-high 21 points. She also added five rebounds and a pair of steals.
Adia Dormu notched 11 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks.
Amaria Wright chipped in six points while
Leia Brown added five points and eight rebounds.
Jayla Dendy added four points to go along with nine boards while
Tamyria Countryman had three points.
Zakarah Powell registered four steals.
For the game, PC hit 18-of-63 from the floor, including four-of-14 from downtown. The team hit 10-of-16 from the charity stripe. The Lady Lions pulled down 37 rebounds and dished out 11 assists. PC also had 15 steals.
Down 7-2, Dendy took a pass from Wright and converted a lay-up. Facing a 14-6 deficit, Dendy tipped in a rebound with 3:39 to play. A steal by Dormu led to a lay-up by McCrary with 2:00 to go, pulling the team within four. A late three-point shot by Countryman pulled the team within four heading into the second quarter.
McCrary hit a pair of free throws just 31 seconds into the second stanza to make it a one-point game. Dendy found Dormu for a three-point shot, giving PC a 21-19 edge. Facing a 27-22 deficit, Powell found McCrary for a lay-up. Down 29-26, a steal and lay-up by Brown sliced the margin to just one, 29-28, at the break.
Dormu gave the home team a 30-29 lead at the 8:51 mark of the third quarter, but Voorhees managed to embark on a 24-5 run for a 53-35 score entering the final frame. PC managed to cut the deficit to 15 in the fourth quarter, but that was as close as the team could get the rest of the way.
