ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Paine College women's basketball team wrapped up its season at the NCCAA Southeast Regional Championship with an 87-52 loss to Clinton College.

Kisha Lucette's team concluded the season at 5-19.
Leia Brown led the Lady Lions with a 20-point, five-rebound effort.
Kyra McCrary tallied 14 points and nine rebounds while
Tamyria Countryman chipped in 10 points.
Jayla Dendy had four points and seven rebounds while
Amaria Wright and
Zakarah Powell had two points each. Wright dished out five assists.
Adia Dormu pulled down six boards.
Trailing 49-21 at the half, PC played virtually even in the third frame. Down 54-23, Brown buried a jumper. McCrary converted an old-fashioned three-point play to make it 54-28. Wright connected on a field goal to wrap up the 7-0 spurt. However, that was as close as the team could get the rest of the way.
For the game, PC hit 20-of-64 from the floor, including six-of-23 from downtown. The team buried all six free throw attempts. The Lady Lions grabbed 44 rebounds and dished out eight assists. The team scored 12 points in the paint and had 13 points off turnovers.
