FORT VALLEY, Ga. (Volleyball) – Coach 
Kisha Lucette and the Lady Lions stormed into HPE Complex and came out with a three set victory over Fort Valley State. Paine won the match with scores of 25-14, 25-22, and 25-14. 
The win moves the Lady Lions to 6-11, 1-2 in conference. Fort Valley is now 3-17, 2-6 in league play. 
Lydia Elmore led the team with eight kills, followed by 
Tiera Daugherty with seven. 
Totyanna Corbitt kept the table set for Paine with 10 assists. Defensively, Briana Hines had 13 digs while Elmore and 
Rachel Walker had 10 each. 
Deja Sims-Dean led the Lady Lions with three blocks. 
Breanna Orton and 
Jaylah Bryant each had two blocks. 
As a team, Paine finished the night with 30 kills, .200 hitting percentage, and 49 digs. The team also had six blocks and three service aces. 
Briana Shepard led the Lady Wildcats with 10 kills and 11 digs. Alysia Harris had eight assists and five blocks. 
The Lady Lions will return to action on Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. as the team travels to Vorhees College in Denmark, S.C.
