AUGUSTA, Ga. (Football) – Paine College (0-5, 0-3 SIAC) entered Saturday's game looking their first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory since restarting the football program. Unfortunately, the Rams of Albany State rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns to stun the Lions with a 17-0 win.
Albany State is now 2-2 overall and 2-0 in conference.

Vincent Thomas finished with a team-high 10 tackles, Diquan Richards and
Jericho Brown added 6. Freshman
Sanka Harris recorded one sack for a loss of 12 yards. Offensively,
Jeff Menefee had 12 carries for 98 yards.
The Rams used Jarvis Small to ground and pound their way into Lion territory. Small finished the day with 129 yards and two touchdowns.
The Lions head to Gaffney, S.C. to take on Limestone College on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m.
