ATLANTA, Ga. – Ronzell Evans scored a team-high 15 points in Paine College's 100-57 loss to Morehouse on Saturday afternoon at Forbes Arena in Atlanta, Ga.

The Lions fall to 1-6, 0-2 SIAC while the Maroon Tigers remain undefeated improving to 8-0, 3-0 SIAC.

PC remained within striking distance for the first 10 minutes of the game only down 19-11, but MHC would go on a 23-9 run the rest of the way to take a 44-20 lead into the locker rooms.

After forcing 18 Paine turnovers in the first half, Morehouse did not let up defensively forcing 10 more takeaways for a 40-9 advantage in the points of turnovers category on their way to the 43 point victory.

Paine was led by Evans who also had nine rebounds to go with his 15 points. Dwight Wheatley came off the bench to score eight points and grab seven rebounds in only 11 minutes of action.

The Lions shot only 35.3 (18-of-51) percent from the field while also struggling from the charity strip connecting on only 13-of-22 free-throws. The Maroon Tigers out-rebounded PC, 50-37 and had 28 more field-goal attempts.

MHC was led by Tyrius Walker who had a game-high 28 points, while Martravious Little had 18 points Jordan Wallace chipped in with 13 points.

Paine travels to CIAA foe Livingstone College on Tuesday, Dec. 5th. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
