ALBANY, Ga. – The Paine College volleyball team lost a 3-0 match at Albany State Monday evening.
The Lady Lions are now 2-15 on the season while the Golden Rams improve to 13-6 overall.
Head coach
Kisha Lucette's team was led by
Najla Betts,
Akirah McCrae and
Kennedy Williams as all three student-athletes posted three kills apiece.
Daija Broadnax chipped in a pair of kills in the contest.
Kelsey Williams dished out seven assists and
Myah Beasley added three. Each also had an ace at the service line.
Defensively, Broadnax and McCrae were each in on three blocks. Betts added a pair of block assists.
Kelsey Williams notched a team-best nine digs and
Makayla Evans garnered five.
The Lady Lions return to action Thursday when they travel to Benedict for a 6 p.m., match.
