ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Paine College men's basketball team lost an 85-74 decision at Elizabeth City State Monday evening.
The Lions are now 5-7 on the season. ECSU now stands at 4-5 overall.
Quintonn Jackson led the way with a game-high 29 points on 10-of-22 shooting. He nailed four-of-eight from downtown and led the team with three steals.
Jakobe Williams netted 21 points while playing all 40 minutes. He buried five shots from distance and was seven-of-17 from the floor.
Nate Adams added eight points and eight rebounds.
Kelvin Johnson had six points, five boards and two blocks while
Calvin Johnson totaled five points.
Elija Greer snagged seven rebounds, had three assists and notched three steals as well.
For the game, Paine College hit 25-of-67 from the floor. The team drilled 12 three-point shots in the contest. The Lions tallied 22 points in the paint, had 17 points off turnovers and registered 25 points on the break.
The Lions return to action Dec. 28 when they host USC Aiken.
