WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Paine College volleyball team loss ta 3-0 decision at Carolina University Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Lions are now 0-5 on the season while the Bruins are 6-3.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-13, 25-21.
Najla Betts, 
Akirah McCrae and 
Kelsey Williams had three kills apiece while 
Deavian Pitt accounted for two in the contest.
Williams dished out eight assists for the offense while 
Jordan Fortson chipped in a pair.
At the net, Betts and McCrae each had outstanding matches. Betts registered two solo blocks and three block assists while McCrae had one solo block and four block assists.
Defensively, Fortson paced the team with nine digs. Williams added five while 
Makayla Evans notched four digs.
The Lady Lions return to action Wednesday when they host Benedict at 7 p.m.
