AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Paine College volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision to Carolina University Tuesday evening.
The Lady Lions are now 6-6 on the year.
Head coach
Kisha Lucette's team was led by
Najla Betts' 13-kill effort. She hit .333 on 30 swings.
Jamaya Allen totaled eight kills while
Akirah McCrae and
Soleil Johnson each had seven kills.
Kennedy Williams and
Jamia Seals chipped in five kills and three kills, respectively.
Kelsey Williams notched 16 assists and a pair of aces.
Chelsea Brooks dished out 14 assists.
McCrae led the defense with a pair of blocks.
Along the back line,
Makayla Evans registered 26 digs while
Demi Mckeever added 11 digs. Johnson and
Kelsey Williams had eight digs each.
The Lady Lions return to action Thursday when they play at Johnson & Wales at 6 p.m.
