CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Paine College volleyball team knocked off Johnson & Wales – Charlotte by a 3-1 score Thursday evening.
Set scores were 16-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-20.
Head coach
Kisha Lucette's team was paced by
Najla Betts' match-high 11 kills. She hit .308 on 26 attempts.
Akirah McCrae added six kills while
Soleil Johnson chipped in four kills.
Kelsey Williams notched a double-double with 12 assists and 16 digs to go along with four aces.
Chelsea Brooks dished out seven assists in the win.
Kennedy Williams shared match-high honors with four aces.
Makayla Evans added three aces while Brooks chipped in two.
Evans accounted for 13 digs while
Demi Mckeever totaled 11 digs. Brooks and
Kennedy Williams had five digs apiece.
The Lady Lions return to action Saturday when they play at Bob Jones at 2 p.m.
