COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Paine College women's basketball team lost a 106-39 contest at Benedict Monday evening.
The Lady Lions are now 0-4 on the season while BC improves to 1-1.
Head coach
Kisha Lucette's team was led by
Carlysha Golatt's 23 points. She also snagged eight boards and had two assists in the contest.
Leia Brown narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds. She added two steals.
Kylie Fleet had three assists, two steals and two points.
Jayla Dendy totaled six rebounds and two points.
Da'Mar Wims added two points while
Jala Morgan had five rebounds, one assist, a point and a steal.
Daiyah Ruger grabbed two rebounds in the contest.
PC hit 13-of-59 from the floor, including three-of-12 from downtown. The squad also hit 10 free throws in the loss.
Lucette's team had 12 points in the paint and netted 12 points off miscues. The squad registered 25 points off the bench and had seven points on the break.
The Lady Lions return to action Saturday when they play at Abraham Baldwin at 12 p.m.
