AUGUSTA, Ga. (Volleyball) – The Paine College Lady Lions fell to Claflin University, 3-0 at home in the HEAL Complex. The set scores were 12-25, 19-25, and 10-25.  
 
With the loss, Paine moves to 10-16, 6-7 in conference, while the Lady Panthers rise to 12-9, 8-4 in league play.
 
Tiera Daugherty led Paine with five kills and three blocks. Kayla Lewis had the most assists for the Lady Lions with seven. Defensively, Rachel Walker had nine digs, followed Kayla Lewis and Lydia Elmore each had seven digs.
 
As a team, Paine finished the night with 16 kills, two service aces, and 35 digs.
 
Kiara Johnson led the Lady Panthers with 15 kills followed by Brianna Garvin with 14. Caleen Hawkins finished the night with 36 assists. On defense, Courtney Person led Claflin with 18 digs followed by Alycia Perez-Johnson with 13.
 
The Lady Lions travel to Benedict to face the Lady Tigers on Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.
