AUGUSTA, Ga. (Women's Basketball) – Coach Willie Adams and the Paine College Lady Lions (1-4) get ready to go head to head with the Tritons of Eckerd College (5-2) on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the HEAL Complex. The Lady Lions look to snap a four game skid and pick up a win in their second home game of the season.

Paine comes into the contest after a loss to Georgia Regents University-Augusta, 68-50. Eckerd enters the HEAL Complex after a loss to Peach Belt rival, Florida Institute of Technology, 76-60.

In the absence of point guard Ashley Watts, the Lady Lions are being led by Brianna Simms and Tannasia Rhodes. On the season, Simms is leading the team averaging 9.2 points per game. Rhodes is not that far behind her with 8.2 points per game. Both Simms and Rhodes are averaging .366 from the field. Simms has also made her presence in the middle felt as she leads the Lady Lions with 6.6 rebounds per contest. LaShonda Canty is second in total rebounds with 5.4 a game.

Rana Thomas leads the Tritons averaging 15.9 points while Trine Kasemagi is second with 13.6. Ivana Grbic has been a big help in the center for Eckerd as she has been averaging 6.4 total rebounds. The Lady Lions defense will have to find a way to shut down Kasemagi and Jordyn Alexander. Both player are shooting above .600 from the field.
