Paine Storylines
* Paine College enters the 2017-18 season with six new players which includes three transfers and three freshman. Returning for the Lady Lions is
Tania Ward,
Zhane' Green,
Marquel Thompson and Predrica Bain whom sat out last season due to injury.
* The Lady Lions finished the 2016-17 campaign with a 11-17 and a first round lose to LeMoyne-Owen College in the SIAC Basketball Tournament.
* Sophomore guard
Tania Ward was named to the SIAC Preseason All-Conference team.
* Former Paine College standout
Janisha Wilkerson has signed a professional contract to play basketball in Montenegro.
* PC dropped their season-opener to USC-Aiken on Sunday, 74-59. Freshman Keondra Archie had a game-high 20 points and nine boards to go along with two blocks and three steals. Senior transfer Ashley Washington chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
