* Paine College enters the 2017-18 season with six new players which includes three transfers and three freshman. Returning for the Lady Lions is
Tania Ward,
Zhane' Green,
Marquel Thompson and Predrica Bain whom sat out last season due to injury.
* The Lady Lions finished the 2016-17 campaign with a 11-17 and a first round lose to LeMoyne-Owen College in the SIAC Basketball Tournament.

Tania Ward was named to the SIAC Preseason All-Conference team.
* Former Paine College standout
Janisha Wilkerson has signed a professional contract to play basketball in Montenegro.
* Freshman
Keondra Archie earned SIAC Co-Newcomer of the Week after her 20 point, nine rebound, two block performance versus USC-Aiken.

* PC lost a hard-fought game against Miles College, 64-53.
Scouting The Opponent
* Central State enters the game with an impressive 11-3 record and are 6-1 in the SIAC. The Lady Marauders defeated Benedict 80-70 on New Years Day.
