Box Score FORT MILL, S.C. – The Paine College women's basketball team lost an 81-67 game at Clinton College Tuesday evening.
The Lady Lions are now 0-3 on the season.
Head coach
Kisha Lucette's team was led by
Alexandria Caples and
Kyra McCrary. The duo had 15 points apiece. McCrary was phenomenal on the glass, securing a game-high 16 rebounds for a double-double. From the floor, Caples and McCrary each hit seven field goals.
Ashley Rubio accounted for a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Adewunmi Atiba added nine points and three rebounds while
Jada Mullinex and
Jada Brooks contributed six points each.
The Lady Lions secured 58 rebounds in the game, including 23 on the offensive glass. For the game, Paine College drained 30-of-76 from the floor (39.5 percent), including thre-of-12 from downtown (25.0 percent).
Lucette's team held a 48-30 advantage in the paint and converted the 23 offensive rebounds into 20 second-chance points. Additionally, the visitors registered 33 points off the bench.
The game was tied six times and there were six lead changes.
The Lady Lions return to action Tuesday, Nov. 22, when they host Claflin in the home opener at 5:30 p.m.
