Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Paine College women's basketball team lost an 80-44 contest at Johnson C. Smith Monday evening.
The Lady Lions were led by
Kyra McCrary's team-high 12 points on three-of-eight shooting. She also buried six-of-eight from the charity stripe. McCrary snagged eight rebounds in the contest.
Jada Brooks netted nine points while also pulling down four rebounds.
Ashley Rubio totaled seven points to go along with five boards while
Alexandria Caples hit both of her field goals and free throw for five points.
For the game, Paine College hit 17-of-52 from the floor and nine-of-14 from the charity stripe. Rubio swatted a pair of shots. Defensively,
Myah Beasley and Brooks had two steals apiece.
The Lady Lions return to action Thursday when they host Columbia College at 5:30 p.m.
