Box Score DENMARK, S.C. – The Paine College women's basketball team lost an 82-53 decision at Voorhees Thursday evening.
The Lady Lions are now 1-15 on the season.
Head coach
Kisha Lucette's team was paced by
Adia Dormu's 21 points on six-of-13 shooting. She was three-of-four from distance and made six-of-nine from the charity stripe. Dormu narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds. She also garnered a team-best three assists while adding two steals and a block.
Kyra McCrary added 15 points, seven boards and a team-high three steals in 27 minutes of work.
Leia Brown totaled seven points, three rebounds, a block and an assist while
Jayla Dendy contributed six points and eight boards.
Amaria Wright chipped in four points, four boards and two thefts while
Zakarah Powell totaled two rebounds and a block.
Tamyria Countryman had a pair of rebounds.
Lucette's team hit 16-of-55 from the floor, including a solid five-of-13 from downtown. The team connected on 16 charity tosses.
The Lady Lions scored 10 points in the paint and posted seven points off Voorhees' miscues. Additionally, PC recorded 15 points off the bench and had eight second-chance points.
The Lady Lions return to action Wednesday, Feb. 5, when they host Toccoa Falls at 5:30 p.m.
