Augusta, G.A. – The Paine College women's basketball team starts the season strong with an 79-56 win over Clinton College.

Interim Head Coach Averyeon Quick's team start the season off strong with a big win over Clinton College.

Ayva Tillon and Leia Brown led the Lady Lions with a 20-point, Tillmon finish with three-rebounds while Brown finish with six-rebounds. Nina Solomon tallied 17 points and five rebounds while Adia Dormu chipped in a double double with 12 points and twelve-rebounds.

Tied 36-36 at the half, PC came out in the third frame with some power. Up by only 4 going into the 4th quarter, The Lady Lion's out scored Clinton 31-12 helping the lions take over and run with the victory.

For the game, PC hit 28-of-79 from the floor, including eleven-of-31 from downtown. The team buried twelve free throws out of 20 attempts. The Lady Lions grabbed 43 rebounds and dished out eighteen assists. The team scored 30 points in the paint and had 35 points off turnovers.
