Paine Storylines
* Paine College enters the 2017-18 season with 11 new players which includes nine transfers and two freshman.
* Senior Guard Malcolm Whittington was named to the SIAC Preseason All-Conference team after finishing second on the Lions averaging (13.0 ppg) whiling leading the team with (2.3 apg). 
* PC dropped their season-opener to Palm Beach Atlantic University, 110-73. Babe Murphy led the Lions with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Deshawndric Nelms hand 12 points and three blocks.
* The Lions fell in the second game of the Daytona Mitsubishi/Kia Shootout to Embry-Riddle 99-67. Phil Garner led Paine with 20 points.

Scouting The Opponent
* Today marks USC-Aiken's season-opener. Last season the Pacers beat PC 75-71 in Aiken, S.C.
