* Paine College enters the 2017-18 season with 11 new players which includes nine transfers and two freshman.
* Senior Guard Malcolm Whittington was named to the SIAC Preseason All-Conference team after finishing second on the Lions averaging (13.0 ppg) while leading the team with (2.3 apg). 
* PC had a season-high 13 blocks versus Embry-Riddle (Nov. 11)
* The Lions dropped an exhibition match-up versus division I USC-Upstate, 79-59 on Nov. 20.
