Box Score TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Paine College men's basketball team lost a 72-65 decision at North Greenville Thursday evening.
The Lions are now 2-4 on the season.
Quinnton Jackson led the way with 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals while also adding a block.
Curtis Phillips totaled 15 points and a steal while
Kole Taylor totaled nine points, five boards and two steals.
Calvin Johnson nearly had a double-double with eight points and eight rebounds.
Jocqua Keaton totaled seven points and six rebounds to go along with two steals.
Jaylen Dopson added six points while
Khalid Johnson and
Najai Moody had three and two, respectively. Moody also added five boards.
For the game, PC hit 24-of-72 from the floor, including eight-of-24 from downtown. The squad also buried nine-of-11 from the free throw line.
The Lions scored 22 points in the paint and netted 11 points off miscues. Additionally, the team registered 13 second chance points. PC garnered 28 points off the bench and netted 11 points on the break.
The Lions return to action Saturday when they play at Abraham Baldwin at 2 p.m.
