Box Score AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Paine College men's basketball team knocked off Fort Lauderdale by a score of 74-60 Monday evening.
The Lions are now 12-5 on the season and have won seven straight contests.
Quinnton Jackson led the way with a 22-point, six-assist performance while playing the entire game.
Kole Taylor notched 18 points and six rebounds while Jocqua Keeton and
Amarie Kirby chipped in 11 points in the win.
Calvin Johnson added six points and eight rebounds while
Kelvin Johnson and
Curtis Phillips had three points apiece.
Kelvin Johnson recorded a game-best five steals in 21 minutes of work.
The Lions canned 24-of-55 from the floor, including 10-of-24 from downtown. The squad buried 16-of-23 from the charity stripe.
PC forced 13 turnovers and outscored the visitors 36-24 in the paint. The 11 offensive rebounds led to 14 second-chance points.
The Lions return to action Saturday, Feb. 8, when they host Virginia-Lynchburg at 4 p.m.
