PALM BEACH, Fla. (Men's Basketball) –A layup by Don Quarles with 29 seconds remaining in the contest sealed the 61-59 road victory for the Paine College Lions. This game served as Paine's last game of 2014.

The win takes the Lion's overall record to 4-3, Palm Beach Atlantic moves to 5-4. This win avenged Paine's buzzer beater two-point loss to the Sailfish last season.
 
Arnis Libazs led the Lions with 14 points, eight rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist. Denzel Dillingham contributed 12 points, eight assists, four rebounds and two steals, while Nathan Powell scored nine points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal.

As a team, the Lions finished with 42 rebounds, 15 assists, four blocks, and eight steals.

The leading scorers for Palm Beach Atlantic were Evin Graham and Clayton Williams with 14 points. Ronnell Ross led the team in rebounds with 11. Garet Tucker paced the team with three assists, while Williams had three steals.

The Sailfish finished the night with 28 rebounds, two blocks, and eight steals.

Paine returns to action on Saturday, January 3rd at home against Spring Hill College at 3 p.m.
