AUGUSTA, Ga. (Men's Basketball)—Jay West scored the last two points for the Paine College Lions to put the nail in the coffin and seal the team's 82-55 victory over Miles College on Monday night.

The win moved the Lions to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. The Golden Lions slip to 1-8 overall and 0-2 in conference.

Denzel Dillingham continues to shine for Paine as he produced double-double performance with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Dillingham led the Lions with four steal on the night. Arnis Libazs also showed his talents with a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Alfonso Davis was second in scoring for Paine with 13 points. Arnold Okechukwu had a game high five blocks.

As a team, the Lions finished with 46 rebounds, eight assists, seven blocks, and 10 steals. Paine was 48.3 percent from field and 62.5 percent from the free throw line.

The Golden Lions were led by Maiscei Grier with 14 points while Albert Peterson helped with a double-double of his own. Peterson score 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kendarius Cunningham had a team-high five assists. Grier and Tony McAlroy each had four steals for the night. Larry Butler tallied the lone block for the Golden Bears.

Miles finished the night with 28 rebounds, 11 assists, and 17 steals. The Golden Bears were 34.5 percent from the field and 52.6 percent from the free throw line.

Paine will return to action on Thursday, Jan. 8 as the team travels to face Tuskegee University at 7:30 p.m.
